In 1870 W.Francis Brenton published The professional, mercantile and trades directory of Adelaide. This was the first year of publication for the directory and those listed in it where classified in alphabetical order. The main section in this publication was titled "Brenton's Directory", it is this section that has been transcribed and is now searchable via FamilyTreeOz.com.
